EDCT 2030 - Technology Applications in Education is a required course for all teachers seeking Ohio Licensure. The purpose of this course is to acquaint candidates with Web 2.0 technology applications and strategies for integration in educational settings. It encompasses effectively identifying, locating, evaluating, designing, preparing and efficiently using technologies as related to principles of learning and teaching. Candidates will develop increased classroom communication abilities through discussions, modeling, online teaching and learning experiences and the completion of a comprehensive portfolio project.

Adobe Connect (AC)
Adobe Connect will be the interactive online web-conferencing environment where we hold our online bi-weekly meetings. I've demonstrated its basic use in the first week of class. Here is a PDF tutorial that explains the technical requirements and some commonly-used features of AC. Prior to our online meeting, be sure to do the following:
1. Test your speed. Go to this link to test it out.
2. You must use a headset. Using a headset will eliminate the echoes and noise coming from other participants of the online meeting.
Playground
You may also want to go here to test your connections and try out the features in an actual AC environment. It is a playground on Adobe Connect that I created for you to try it out as presenters. You will have presenter rights with which you can enable your audio and present without me enabling you. Note: This is NOT the online meeting link. To go to the bi-weekly meeting link, click on Online Meetings in the right navigation bar.
